The United States is doomed
The USA has been in slow, relative economic decline for several decades now, and severely so in recent years. The next big economic boom will probably come from the gathering revolution in our understanding of biology, in general, and genetics in particular. Sad to say, the USA might miss this next boom, due to an unwillingness to teach it in schools. If the USA does well during the boom in genetics, it will be a remarkable demonstration of how much a well educated elite can achieve in defiance of the ignorance of the masses.
